## About this application route

An employment opportunity brings more than a change of workplace. Before planning your move, understand which work route fits the proposed role and what you and your employer may need to prepare. We help organise the questions, paperwork and next steps so you can approach the process with a clearer plan.

## What to consider

### Start with the role

Discuss the position, employer, intended start date and your current circumstances before choosing an application path.

### Coordinate both sides

Keep applicant and employer preparation connected, with a clear view of who needs to provide each part of the file.

### Prepare with purpose

Work through an individual preparation plan rather than relying on a generic checklist found online.

## Prepare for your consultation

- Outline your proposed role and employer.

- Share your nationality, current country and broad immigration circumstances.

- Identify the employment and qualification information available for review.

- Discuss the applicable process and quotation before service begins.

Your consultant will discuss the current route-specific requirements. This page is an introduction, not an eligibility decision or an official document checklist.

## Common questions

### Is this the same as a critical skills visa?

No. These are separate routes. The proposed role, your qualifications and the current requirements need to be considered before deciding which route to explore.

### Can my employer take part in the discussion?

Yes. An employer contact can help clarify the role and the supporting information needed. Tell us who should be included when you enquire.

### Should I confirm my start date before applying?

Discuss timing with the employer and your consultant before making commitments. An application does not itself establish permission to begin work, and the authorities determine the outcome.

## Let’s discuss your next step

Share your destination, the service you need and the questions you would like to discuss.

Legal advice relevant to your service is included for every paying client.
