## 1. What this page covers

This page describes the public Rusetat website’s browser behaviour. Read it with our [Privacy notice ](https://rusetatmigrationinternational.org/privacy/). A cookie is a small record a service can store in your browser. Local storage, session identifiers and other browser features can also retain information even when they are not called cookies. Your browser, hosting services and third-party tools have different roles.

The website saves your cookie notice choice in your browser’s local storage. Closing the notice does not consent to optional tracking. The public website does not intentionally install advertising pixels or analytics trackers. Its own enquiry forms do not intentionally save a draft in local storage. That does not mean no technical information is processed: the host receives requests needed to deliver pages, and an optional external service can apply its own storage and privacy practices when you use it.

## 2. Core website, forms and search

Images, styles and scripts are served with the website. Your browser may cache these files according to its settings and the server’s instructions. Caching helps page delivery and is different from advertising tracking. Request logs may include technical information such as your IP address and requested page.

Contact forms and corporate briefs keep their working answers in the current page. They prepare a message for you to review and choose how to send. Your browser’s autofill, history, downloads and device synchronisation can retain information independently. Use a private device for sensitive work and clear local files when appropriate.

Website search uses a downloaded public index and matches your words locally. Downloading the index makes a normal request to the host. The website does not intentionally send each search phrase to an advertising or analytics service.

## 3. Your map choice

The contact page displays a map control before loading Google Maps. If you choose to load it, your browser connects to Google, which can receive technical information and may use cookies or other storage under its own policies. You can use the written office address without loading the map.

Reloading or leaving the page removes the current embedded map. It does not automatically erase information already processed by Google. To manage provider storage, use your browser’s site-data settings and the provider’s available privacy controls. See [Google’s Privacy Policy ](https://policies.google.com/privacy).

## 4. Ruse AI is coming soon

The Ask Ruse button opens a local coming-soon panel. The website does not load a chatbot, connect to an AI provider or create an AI conversation when you use these controls.

You can close the panel or contact the team using the details provided. There is no AI message box to submit information through. Disabling this feature does not delete any records previously shared through earlier versions of the service; privacy requests can still be made through our published contact address.

## 5. Email, WhatsApp and external links

Opening an email link prepares a message in your chosen email application; you decide whether to send it. Opening WhatsApp connects to that service. A prepared contact enquiry is not automatically transmitted just because you completed the website form. Review the recipient and message before sending.

External websites and apps control their own storage, account settings and retention. Browser restrictions on third-party storage can affect optional maps. If an optional feature fails, use our published contact details. A separate Rusetat login or portal can use essential authentication storage under its own notice.

## 6. Managing preferences and contacting us

Use your browser’s settings to inspect or clear site data, restrict third-party cookies and manage downloads or autofill. Clearing browser data does not cancel a booking, withdraw an instruction already sent or delete records held by an independent provider. Reloading the page also does not constitute a request to erase a client file.

The cookie notice lets you accept, decline or close it; its choice is saved in your browser when storage is available. Optional analytics are not currently enabled, and closing the notice does not grant consent. Use the load-map control to choose the optional map service. The Ask Ruse control currently displays information only. If additional tracking is introduced, its purpose, providers, applicable legal basis and controls must be addressed before use.

For privacy questions or a rights request, contact the Information Officer through [admin@rusetatmigration.org ](mailto:admin@rusetatmigration.org)or [+27 72 155 5208 ](tel:+27721555208). The relevant South African framework includes [POPIA ](https://www.justice.gov.za/legislation/acts/2013-004.pdf); this page does not assume that every European cookie rule automatically applies to every South African visitor.
